Ordinary Professor of Sociology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
Founder and scientific director of S3.Studium and President of Ravello Foundation, the organization that manages the Ravello Festival.
In the past he was manager and executive for many organizations: Finsider, CMF- metallic construction, Finsider, Ifap.
He is Past-president of In/Arch, Architecture National Institute, and national Past-president of AIF, Italian education association.
From 1980 he has spent his time especially for students, university and for the sociological research.
He wrote many books about urban sociology and work sociology.
He leads the magazine NEXT. Strumenti per l’innovazione.
He is a member of the scientific board of the following magazine: Sociologia del lavoro, Economia e Lavoro, Pluriverso.
